I had a fab time at the Lighthouse chairing the post-show talk with Carlos Pons Guerra, his Rehearsal Director Anna Watkins and the cast of the fantastic Mariposa.
The work was stunning and moving and resonated with many of the audience. The conversation touched on the themes of the show and how Carlos adapted the story of Madame Butterfly to tell the story through a Queer lens. We looked at how the cast members experienced the creation, how they relate to the story in modern times and responded to amazing feedback and questions from the audience.
