MOVE IT
I have a long-standing relationship with MOVE IT, the world's largest dance event, and have been involved in various capacities since 2009.
My journey with MOVE IT began as a volunteer (2009–2011), and in 2016, I joined the team as Studio Manager. Soon after, I progressed to the role of Producer (2016–2017), where I programmed over 220 classes and professional seminars across 10 studios and 4 stages, managed production support for 500+ artists, led teams of interns and event volunteers, and worked towards financial targets through sponsorships and revenue-generating initiatives.
From 2018 onwards, I have supported the show as a Senior Producer and Assistant Director, taking on key event production responsibilities in the final weeks leading up to the show. In this role, I lead and supervise the creative team, deputise for the Creative Director during production week, and oversee a team of up to 70 Artist Liaisons and Studio Volunteers. I also provide hands-on support and problem-solving across all production elements, working with over 5,000 performers, schools, colleges, and major brands, including The BRIT School, Flawless, Capezio, and Harlequin.
As with all large-scale events, this role requires crisis management, conflict resolution, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring a seamless experience for artists, exhibitors, and audiences alike. MOVE IT welcomes over 30,000 attendees over three days at the ExCel Centre in London, making it a dynamic and high-pressure environment that continues to refine my leadership, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
